This flag is used in graduation ceremonies at the college, and is called a gonfalon style banner. This style banner hangs vertically from a crossbar and is common to see being carried down the main aisle during graduation processionals. This example combined a digitally printed center seal, with appliqué (individually sewn) letters, giving the banner a detailed and very regal look.
